IT'S ALIVE!

The deck is finally built! This past Saturday I opened all 36 randomly selected booster packs and cobbled together the Boxer's starting configuration. It was a blast opening all the packs and looking at the cards inside. The custom sleeves also came in this week and now the deck is fully prepped for its debut game on Friday.

Some highlights from the opening was a foil Dark Ascension Faithless Looting, a Fellwarstone (I’ll take all the mana fixing i can get hahaha), an Earl of Squirrel, Charging Badger, and an Invocation Stifle. The Stifle is especially exciting since Invocations were a 1 in 120/130ish odds of pulling from a booster. I feel confidant in saying that card will never leave the deck!

Looking over the list (available here on Moxfield), I did go creature heavy with lots of cards i just couldn't say no to playing. Over time, this number will go down and the deck might get more focused. Also, proud to say no additional lands outside of the sealed pool were added. The pool had 41 lands in total: 1 duplicate that couldn't be used and 2 utility lands that I opted out of. The mana base doesn't look great for cast-ability, but like with the creatures, this too should improve over time.

Was is possibility to build a better deck than where its at? 100% for sure. Thats not necessarily the spirit of what is being here though. This deck is for silly/interesting games and socializing more then anything else.
