February 2026 update

Hello All!

This update is a bit of a nothing burger. Some exciting news is that I’ve gotten the mana required to cast the Boxer nearly every game played! The sad part is the game was either effectively over or all the cards I had in hand/grave are cards I was unwilling to part with. Finding people with the right decks to be able to have a shot at playing the game has been tough. That’s not to say everyone is bringing higher power or stream lined decks; The Beleaguered Boxer is still in the “pile of cool cards” phase.

I managed to find one spot so far that i was able to open a pack! After perusing the shops options and a little discussion with the table, I went with a Modern Horizons 3 play booster. The adds from the pack were: Tranquil Landscape, Emrakul’s Messenger, and Sowing Mycospawn. The cards removed were: Blue Ribbon, Command Performance, and Questing Cosplayer. The card choices was simply help with mana base (myco is also just a good card) and remove some UN-cards.

Overall, people have been excited to see the deck and want to play against it. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for the future!
